Keep On Watching!
I’m off to Nova Scotia tomorrow for a week, but at the very least I wanted to remind everybody of all the usual suspects to watch this week, plus one new choice.
Don’t forget
Keen Eddie tomorrow might at 9pm on
Fox! Though the ratings have been grim, the show is most certainly not!
And check in with
Monk on Friday night at 10pm on
USA for the second new episode of the season. I still don’t like the new theme song, and since all the end credit audio is always covered by promos, there’s not much chance of hearing the terrific original theme music which has been relegated to the back end of the show. Bad move! But great show!

The League of Gentlemen which
BBC America is running again beginning this Friday. I’ve honestly never gotten into this show as much as I should, but will be paying more attention this time around. It’s one of the most unusual and downright creepy comedies shows around, and you’ll no doubt agree once you meet the denizens of Royston Vasey
for yourself. My best advice might be to take a look at a few of the websites I’ve listed below to get a feel for the unique twisted genius of the show. Lots of things on TV get slapped with the adjective “original” but this is one that really, truly, genuinely deserves it. Try it out!
As for Nova Scotia, I’m hoping I can catch a few
Jimmy Kimmel Live shows while I’m up there, as I’ve reported before that the Atlanta
ABC affiliate doesn’t run the show, and six months later STILL doesn’t! That's what I
don't like about the South....
I’ll try to post something from up there, but if I don’t, I’ll be back next Tuesday! In the meantime, here’s a quaint vintage scene from up there, an Antigonish Scottish lassie posed near the harbor. The city was originally settled by Scotsmen, and holds an internationally famous
Highland Games celebration every July. Of course you're all welcome to visit once we get our house built!
