I've Been a Slacker

I feel moderately horrible for not updating this site recently, but I was so ho-hummed by the May sweeps that nothing got me going. I did enjoy the end of Enterprise which has squeaked out a renewal for next year, and will be playing around with Nazis and time travel and other good stuff like that. Unfortunately they'll be doing it on Friday nights....

24 ended with an exciting bang -- the axing of Chase's hand was a nice dramatic moment -- but I did miss a cliffhanger other than Jack's incipient breakdown and the Prez' future political decisions. The season as a whole was satisfying, but after reading that several of the main characters weren't coming back next year, either it's going to a humdinger of new thrills or something we won't recognize at all. Both are good!

This coming Sunday's season end of The Sopranos should be good -- don't miss it. I still can't get into Deadwood at all. The swearing has ascended into the realm of the ridiculously overdone, whether historically accurate or not, at least to my ears (and I love profanity, generally).

Without a doubt more fascinating than any TV out there is the PC game Far Cry which has been occupying many thrilling and frustrating hours in my day. Highly recommended if you have a fast machine -- the game looks amazing; I've been awestruck by the beauty of the graphics, but you'll need a good rig to get the full effect. Go to their website and watch the trailer -- better than any movie out there!

Coming soon to the main website is my next season preview. Finishing up the descriptions now!
